Summary

It’s Christmastime and love is in the air。 But when these three Elite Guardians walk into the crosshairs of trouble, they find themselves fighting not just for justice, but for the lives of the men they love in this riveting thriller collection!

Deadly Holiday Hijack by Kate Angelo

“Come out to Savannah, she says。 It’ll be fun, she says。 Boss can be in the nativity pageant, she says,” Yeah。 Great idea。

Bodyguard Christina Sherman and her fiancé, former spec ops air commando Grey Parker just want to sneak away to beautiful Savannah, attend a Nativity Pageant, maybe set a wedding date。 But when a group of terrorists take over the church and the whole thing is live streamed, they find themselves in a hometown version of a Die Hard Christmas movie。 But will they make it to the happy ending?

Silent Night Siege by Kelly Underwood

Billionaire Preston Whittaker and bodyguard Laila Rabbinowitz just can’t get a break。 Not only are their schedules so crazy they’ve put their relationship on simmer, but on their way to the mountains for much-needed togetherness…yep, their plane crashes。 Suddenly they’re stranded on a remote mountainside in freezing temperatures, minimal food, wildlife, and no hope of rescue。

And then, the real danger starts。 Someone deliberately caused the wreck, and that person is hunting them through the wilderness。

Now, it’ll take more than togetherness to survive…

Christmas Snowstorm Standoff by Sami A。 Abrams

It’s finally time for bodyguard Lizzie Tremaine to tie the knot with the man she’s loved for years—fellow bodyguard Charlie Lee。

But maybe fate is still against them, because on the eve of their big day, a snowstorm hits。 And, while it’s kept the guests away, it’s brought trouble in the form of a woman from Charlie’s past。 More, she’s on the run from a killer…

A man who will stop at nothing to make sure Charlie and Lizzie never make it to the altar。

Now Lizzie and Charlie must battle the storm, stop the killer, and defeat the doubts that suddenly have them wondering if they are truly meant to be。

Three epic love stories。 Three edge-of-your-seat thrillers。 Three Christmases caught in the Crosshairs inspired by best-selling author Lynette Eason’s Elite Guardian series。

I was recently given the opportunity to read Christmas in the Crosshairs: An Elite Guardians Christmas Anthology featuring Lynette Eason, Kate Angelo, Kelly Underwood, and Sami A。 Abrams。 This is Book 4 in the Elite Guardians Series and I have had the honor of reading Books 1 through 3 in this series。I have to say any book that has a Christmas Theme is going to be a book that I want to read, especially in the months leading up to Christmas。 The book contains 3 Novellas all with a common synopsis I was recently given the opportunity to read Christmas in the Crosshairs: An Elite Guardians Christmas Anthology featuring Lynette Eason, Kate Angelo, Kelly Underwood, and Sami A。 Abrams。 This is Book 4 in the Elite Guardians Series and I have had the honor of reading Books 1 through 3 in this series。I have to say any book that has a Christmas Theme is going to be a book that I want to read, especially in the months leading up to Christmas。 The book contains 3 Novellas all with a common synopsis, Danger, Mystery and Romance。 I think my favorite Novella in this book was Silent Night Seige by Kelly Underwood。 The novella brings back Billionaire Preston Whittaker and bodyguard Laila Rabbinowitz from Book 3 of the series。 I really enjoyed Book 3 in the series and love that I was able to enjoy another story with them。 Preston and Laila are in a plane wreck and with little to survive on。 They get news that the wreck was actually a sabotage。 Will they stay out of danger and will their relationship survive? The entire book is action-packed, kept me on the edge of my seat, and also has Romance。 I HIGHLY recommend this book and the Series to anyone who enjoys Christian Romance Suspense novels。 READ the series it truly is AMAZING! 。。。more

I enjoyed reading these novellas。 It was fun to get caught up on what was happening in the lives of the Elite Guardians that we got to know through the series。 Each novella gives a recap of what had happened in the individual books so you know a little about how they met and their history。 There is a lot of action packed into these novellas but they don't feel rushed。 There is some degree of a biblical faith thread through the stories。 I liked getting a epilogue of sorts with the couples getting I enjoyed reading these novellas。 It was fun to get caught up on what was happening in the lives of the Elite Guardians that we got to know through the series。 Each novella gives a recap of what had happened in the individual books so you know a little about how they met and their history。 There is a lot of action packed into these novellas but they don't feel rushed。 There is some degree of a biblical faith thread through the stories。 I liked getting a epilogue of sorts with the couples getting their happily ever afters。 I got a free copy of this book。 All thoughts and opinions are my own and given voluntarily。 No compensation was received for my review。 。。。more

We have a rescued service dog living in our home(long story but his owner no longer needed him for PTSD) and he’s a Belgian Malinois/German Shepherd mix。 I saw a lot of him within the character of Boss。 While he’s not as well trained as Boss he is well trained and it’s amazing watching him work/his endless energy for play。 Boss isn’t the only thing I liked about the story, but he’s probably what tipped the scale to making that one my favorite。 I have voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from JustRead Publicity Tours。 All views expressed are only my honest opinion。 I was not required to write a positive review nor was I compensated in any other way。 All opinions expressed are my own。 I am disclosing this in accordance with the FTC regulations。 。。。more

Christmas in the Crosshairs: An Elite Guardians Christmas Anthology is book #4 in the Elite Guardians Collection。 I admit I was so excited for this novella to get here。 I've been waiting since the end of Elite Guardians #3 Defending Honor by Kelly Underwood。 This was the perfect Christmas anthology for these bodyguards and their men。 Christina, Lizzie, and Laila do Christmas like no other。 In Deadly Holiday Hijack, Christina and Grey go to watch a Christmas nativity program just to get attacked Christmas in the Crosshairs: An Elite Guardians Christmas Anthology is book #4 in the Elite Guardians Collection。 I admit I was so excited for this novella to get here。 I've been waiting since the end of Elite Guardians #3 Defending Honor by Kelly Underwood。 This was the perfect Christmas anthology for these bodyguards and their men。 Christina, Lizzie, and Laila do Christmas like no other。 In Deadly Holiday Hijack, Christina and Grey go to watch a Christmas nativity program just to get attacked by terrorists and it's live-streamed too。 In Silent Night Siege , Laila and Preston get into a plane crash in the mountains of Colorado and they are hunted。 The plane crash was deliberate and someone wants their blood。 And if that wasn't enough, all Lizzie and Charlie want to do is get married on Christmas Eve。 But in Christmas Snowstorm Standoff they not only battle their cold feet before the wedding, they battle a storm that might keep everyone from attending the ceremony, and someone is attacking the ranch they are staying at。 It's Christmas season Guardians style! OMS! I loved each and every story in this anthology。 I had every emotion in the book as I was reading these holiday tales。 They were intense, drama-filled, and happily ever afters。 I cried。 I laughed。 And I smiled through out。 It did not disappoint me in the least and it made me very happy to spend some time in their world。 I pray that we get more Elite Guardian books。 There was not an epilogue at the end so while I'm not usually liking that, it gives me hope for more books。 And I for one can not wait! I was given a copy but all opinions are my very own! 。。。more

The cheesy one-liners made by Grey at the beginning made this a hard story to take seriously at first, but once the action really kicked off it got really serious real quick。 I cannot even begin to imagine the terror of the hostages in that church, and think the author did a wonderful job of putting the reader right there in the room with them。Though it is a novella that does not take away from the action or suspense one bit。 If anything, I feel like it might’ve amped it up even more, and though I haven’t read any of the other books in this series I found myself instantly vested in these characters and their nightmarish plight。 I definitely want read the rest of this series now!Silent Night Siege by Kelly Underwood is the second novella and it was so cute! It wasn’t as heart-pounding as the first book, with a much slower pace, but there was still plenty of suspense to keep me turning the pages。 I adore Preston and Laila as a couple and loved being able to see them grow closer to one another in the face of incredible odds。 There is a moment that these two share together that made me swoon so much that it will stay with me for awhile。 So powerful!Christmas Snowstorm Standoff by Sami A。 Abrams closes out the anthology and had to be my favorite as it was the culmination of the three stories, ending with the most perfect winter wedding ever! I liked that the action didn’t seem too far-fetched and the characters were believable with true concerns。 I also loved getting to finally see the entire Elite Guardians team together! With a swoony proposal and a wedding that gleams with holiday magic, Christmas in the Crosshairs was perfection! All of the characters relate to one another so masterfully, and even though I haven’t read this series yet I never once felt lost or that I didn’t connect with the characters。 I cannot wait to get to read the rest of this series and love that I didn’t have to read it first to enjoy these novellas。 Action packed with love and family, Christmas in the Crosshairs is a must read for the holiday season and beyond!*I have voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book which I read through Kindle Unlimited with JustRead Tours。 All views and opinions expressed are completely honest, and my own。 。。。more

Christmas in the Crosshairs is an Elite Guardians Christmas Anthology。 You don't have to have read the previous novels, the stories will all make sense, but you'd be missing out if you didn't。Each of these novellas picks up where a full length novel ended, with three separate couples in different places, all trying to get to Montana for a wedding。 Unfortunately, as you'd expect, in a romantic suspense collection, there's trouble ahead。 Deadly Holiday Hijack, by Kate Angelo and Lynette EasonBodyg Christmas in the Crosshairs is an Elite Guardians Christmas Anthology。 You don't have to have read the previous novels, the stories will all make sense, but you'd be missing out if you didn't。Each of these novellas picks up where a full length novel ended, with three separate couples in different places, all trying to get to Montana for a wedding。 Unfortunately, as you'd expect, in a romantic suspense collection, there's trouble ahead。 Deadly Holiday Hijack, by Kate Angelo and Lynette EasonBodyguard Christina Sherman and her fiancée Grey Parker find themselves, along with Boss (the fabulous dog), trapped at what should be a peaceful nativity。 Until terrorists put the building and all the lives inside, at risk。 This is where the theme of 'start the novella? You'll have to finish the novella,' began。 I could not put it down until everyone was okay。 Even though I knew in an inspirational Christmas story, no one heartbreaking would end up dead, I still couldn't stop reading。 Such is the skill of these writers。 Silent Night Siege, by Kelly Underwood and Lynette EasonIn this second glimpse of Laila Rabbinowitz, we see the bodyguard questioning her relationship with Preston Whittaker, her billionaire boyfriend。 As the two depart for some much needed downtime, their plane crashes。 Because of course it does。 The thing I really liked here is that Laila gets injured (I don't like that Laila gets injured) and that means Preston has to step up and, for once, rescue them both。 Also had to adopt the 'fiddle, I started reading and need to know how this ends' policy。 Christmas Snowstorm Standoff, by Sami A。 Abrams and Lynette EasonFinally, it looks like a storm means no one is going to make it to Montana for Lizzie Tremaine's marriage to Charlie Lee。 And even if they could, it'd be dangerous as someone is taking shots at the ranch house。 If that's not enough, as Charlie begins to question his happy ending, his ex, who did a real number on him, shows up out of nowhere asking for help。 Yep。 No stopping 'til I'd finished that either。 All in all, this was a great collection。 The stories certainly gripped me, as I suspect they will anyone with a pulse。 Although each was reasonably short (novella length), they lasted long enough to pull me in completely (okay, that took maybe a page)。 And of course the best part, three happy endings, culminating in a wedding with the whole team。 A fantastic end to what's been a wonderful revisiting of the Elite Guardian's story world。 Highly recommended。 I received a copy from the publisher。 The total enjoyment and the views are all mine。 。。。more

An entire church is taken hostage by terrorists。 What should have been an enjoyable evening turns into the longest night of their lives。 Tensions run higher when Christina and Gray fake fight to get the attention of some of the terrorists, and they begin to wonder if the fight is fake at all。 It gets worse when the attack gets more personal。 While this is a short novella, the author does a fabulous job of making it feel like a full story。★★★★★/5 Silent Night Siege by Kelly UnderwoodI did not read the synopsis before starting Silent Night Siege, but I knew from the moment Preston and Laila got on the plane that it was going to crash。 The way it happens is creative, but the outcome is exactly what you would expect。 The plot moved quickly, the characters were likable, and the story had a nice resolution。 I did find the dialogue stilted in parts, which diminished my enjoyment just a bit。★★★/5 Christmas Snowstorm Standoff by Sami A。 AbramsLizzie and Charlie are ready for their wedding guests to arrive at a ranch in Montana when a snowstorm strikes。 While they are worrying about whether any of their family and friends are going to be able to make it, they see a lady stumbling down the driveway in the snow。 As if that wasn't unexpected enough, their rescue turns deadly when an unknown assailant fires shots。 Everyone at the ranch seems to have enemies, which makes it hard to narrow down who the target is and who the shooter could be。This one had a few unexpected moments, some tender moments, and leaves you with the happily ever after you expect。 ★★★★/5Thank you to JustReads Publicity and the publisher for the opportunity to read this Anthology。 I was not required to provide a positive review。 All thoughts and opinions are my own。 ★★★★/5 。。。more

“Deadly Holiday Hijack” by Kate AngeloThe novella begins at a nice Christmas celebration at the local church。 Kids running around。 Animals。 Soft music。 Then all chaos breaks through as masked terrorists break into the church and put a sizable number of the participates into a hostage situation。 Angelo plays around with the idea of two agents in the other part of the church when the incident goes down in the sanctuary。 The plot has been done, but it was interesting to see how Angelo uses some of “Deadly Holiday Hijack” by Kate AngeloThe novella begins at a nice Christmas celebration at the local church。 Kids running around。 Animals。 Soft music。 Then all chaos breaks through as masked terrorists break into the church and put a sizable number of the participates into a hostage situation。 Angelo plays around with the idea of two agents in the other part of the church when the incident goes down in the sanctuary。 The plot has been done, but it was interesting to see how Angelo uses some of the character’s strengths to their best ability to defeat the bad guys。 There was plenty of action packed in a little novella。 Doubts about romance between the main heroine and hero were brought to the surface and worked through。 Nicely managed for about two hours’ worth of time。 “Silent Night Siege” by Kelly UnderwoodUnderwood throws the character under the plane in the first chapter。 In the novella, she does focus on survival skills and running from a Russian threat。 The characters’ fear in the beginning is not spending enough time together, but they come to realize through this incident that they could spend more time together, and they are an impressive duo who works well together。 The plot moves quickly with plenty of moments where readers will think that the character’s end is going to come。 However, Underwood has them quick to think on their feet and work well off each other。 The romance is more of not wanting to see the person they love die at the hands of the Russians who are threatening them。 Nicely little punch in the snowy mountains。 “Christmas Snowstorm Standoff” by Sami A。 AbrahamsAbrahams throw the bride and groom for a ringer two days before their wedding。 What is better than having the someone from the past make an appearance that make both the future bride and groom wonder if their wedding is even going to happen。 Plenty of action to keep the readers flipping through the pages。 I love the setting。 Twenty inches of snow。 A lodge。 Three days before Christmas。 A Christmas wedding。 Just like the previous two novellas in this short story collection, Abraham makes the two characters wonder about their relationship。 Of course, a continues thread through all three novellas is coming together to make these two characters wedding on Christmas Eve。 The characters discuss what readers had read in the earlier novellas and move forward in the story。 A subtle way to tie these three sets of couples together。 I received a complimentary copy of Christmas in the Crosshairs by Lynette Eason, Kate Angelo, Kelly Underwood, and Sami A。 Abrahams from Sunrise Publishing through JustRead Tours, but the opinions stated are all my own。 。。。more

Christmas in the Crosshairs: A Christmas Anthologyby Kate Angelo, Sami A。 Abrams, Kelly Underwood, and Lynette EasonBook 4 in the Elite Guardians seriesRating: 4/5What a ride! As a huge fan of this series and these fresh authors, I was super impressed at how much they packed into three novellas。 Each story was well written and further developed the characters I’ve already grown to care about。 I definitely recommend reading the previous novels or else it will be harder to follow along。 The storie Christmas in the Crosshairs: A Christmas Anthologyby Kate Angelo, Sami A。 Abrams, Kelly Underwood, and Lynette EasonBook 4 in the Elite Guardians seriesRating: 4/5What a ride! Awesome suspense collection!I have read every book in the Elite Guardians series, and loved them all! This collection is no different, bringing back favorite characters and page turning suspense。 I appreciate that each author is willing to include real life struggles, and bring inspiration to the hurting。 I look forward to reading more stories from each of these authors。

There's nothing like enjoying a little reading heaven when I read Lynette Eason's books! Here she is assisted by 3 talented writers who all add to the excellent stories of the Elite Guardians。 There is just the right amount of extra suspense, clever characters, romance and faith! I greatly enjoyed this book, which would be worth reading any time of the year! There's nothing like enjoying a little reading heaven when I read Lynette Eason's books! Deadly Holiday Hijack by Kate AngeloDriving Force was a great suspense/mystery。 I was looking forward to the next book in this series and catching up with Grey, Christina and Boss in this new Christmas collection。All I can say is I'm stunned by how horrific and traumatic the events in this first story are with terrorism in a church setting。 I like a good mystery, but the violence was over the top。 If this were a movie, I would give it an R rating for on screen murder and child endangerment。 It w Deadly Holiday Hijack by Kate AngeloDriving Force was a great suspense/mystery。 I was looking forward to the next book in this series and catching up with Grey, Christina and Boss in this new Christmas collection。All I can say is I'm stunned by how horrific and traumatic the events in this first story are with terrorism in a church setting。 I like a good mystery, but the violence was over the top。 If this were a movie, I would give it an R rating for on screen murder and child endangerment。 It was all too much for me。 2 starsSilent Night Siege by Kelly UnderwoodPreston and Laila finally get some together time until their private flight is sabotaged leaving them stranded in the wilderness and fighting to survive attack from a past enemy。Preston and Laila are devoted to each other and the lengths they go to to protect the other is touching and believable。 This was a good suspense with nonstop action。 This story had the most connection to Christmas with Preston wanting to give Jewish Laila her first Christmas experience。 I enjoyed it。 4 stars。Christmas Snowstorm Standoff by Sami AbramsAs Charlie and Lizzie prepare to get married, an unexpected snowstorm hits Montana。 While they worry none of their friends will make it to the wedding an unexpected guest arrives along with a shooter。 They investigate to discover who is shooting at them and why。 I did think it odd when Charlie hears Lizzie in a battle with the intruder he doesn't run to her defense。 What fiancé wouldn't run to help the women he loves?! Not very believable but overall a good story。 3 stars 。。。more

This anthology of three novellas is a great addition to the Elite Guardians series。 Each book is a separate story, but all work well together and are a fun reunion with various characters from the series。 There is plenty of non-stop suspense and action, and I found it difficult to put down。 All three authors have done a great job continuing the series and I look forward to reading more in the future!

Very good ending to this series。 Loved all three stories and their authors。 Highly recommend this book。
